Privacy Policy
Version: v1.1 · Effective: May 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information on siliconroshi.ai (the "SiliconRoshi AI Academy" — where "SiliconRoshi / 硅谷Roshi" is an AI education brand that carries forward the educational mission of People's AI). In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to the operator of the siliconroshi.ai teaching site.
Our mission is AI education. We designed this policy around one simple principle: we collect only what teaching and compliance require; your homework belongs to you; we do not sell it and we do not use it to train AI models we sell to others.
Scope of this Privacy Policy This policy applies only to siliconroshi.ai — the teaching site.
This policy does NOT apply to Wukong Dojo (wukongdojo.com). If you use the Agent platform at wukongdojo.com, please read that platform's own privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
To operate the teaching service and meet compliance obligations, we collect the following categories of information:
1.1 Account and Identity
- Email address (for identity, login, and course notifications);
- Password (stored as a one-way hash — we cannot read your plaintext password);
- Login metadata: login timestamp, login IP, device User-Agent (for risk control and anomaly detection).
1.2 Learning Behavior Data
- Course page access logs: which course pages you visited, dwell time, video playback progress (for teaching improvement and completion analysis);
- Homework submissions: the homework text, code, images, and prompts you submit;
- Homework scores and feedback: AI-generated scores, TA comments, peer reviews.
1.3 Payment Transaction Data
For paid courses (e.g., the S3.5 advanced workshop), payment is processed by Stripe or a payment processor we designate. We do NOT store your full credit card number or bank account number. We retain only:
- Payment status (success / failure / refund);
- Transaction amount and currency;
- The payment processor's transaction ID, for reconciliation.
1.4 What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your home address, phone number, national ID, or passport number;
- We do not require you to upload government-issued identification;
- We do not collect your browsing history outside this site;
- We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking cookies.
2. How We Use This Information
Only for the following teaching and operating purposes:
- Provide the teaching service: enable you to log in, submit homework, view feedback, and watch course videos;
- Teaching improvement: analyze aggregated learning behavior (e.g., completion rates, drop-off chapters) to improve course structure;
- Security: detect anomalous logins, brute-force attempts, and abuse;
- Compliance: retain payment records to meet tax and audit obligations;
- Educational outreach (restricted): use homework after de-identification for in-class review, case studies, and educational outreach — the detailed rules and limits are in Section 3 of our Terms of Service.
We will NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties;
- Use your homework body as training data for AI models we sell to others;
- Use your email for third-party marketing unrelated to this course.
3. On De-identification of Homework
When we reference student homework for teaching or outreach, we commit to the following de-identification practices:
- Remove real names (replace with pseudonyms or student IDs);
- Remove email, phone, and WeChat IDs;
- Remove home address and employer name (unless that information is an inseparable part of the homework itself and we have your prior written consent);
- Remove obvious details that could re-identify you.
We specifically commit: any domain IP embedded in your homework (industry knowledge, trade secrets, customer insight, product innovation) — even after de-identification — will NOT be used as our outreach material. That part remains yours.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Storage location: we use Cloudflare (D1, KV, R2) as infrastructure. Data is primarily stored in data centers within the United States;
- Transit encryption: all data between the browser and server is transmitted over HTTPS;
- Password security: passwords are stored as bcrypt one-way hashes — they cannot be reversed;
- Access control: only core operators can access your account data, and only when troubleshooting or fulfilling teaching duties;
- Third-party processors — we rely on the following service providers and require them to honor equivalent data protection standards:
- Cloudflare (infrastructure and storage);
- Stripe (payment processing);
- MailChannels / Resend (email delivery);
- OpenAI / Anthropic / Google / DeepSeek (called only when AI auto-grading is performed; what is transmitted is de-identified homework content).
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use only strictly necessary session cookies and browser local storage, for purposes including:
- Login session (90-day sliding TTL);
- Language preference;
- Course video playback progress.
We do not deploy third-party advertising tracking cookies and do not integrate Google Analytics or similar cross-site tracking services. If that ever changes, we will notify you as a material change.
6. Your Rights
Regardless of where you are located, you have the following rights:
- Access: email us to obtain a copy of all personal data we hold for your account;
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate account information;
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and homework body (anonymized scores and aggregated statistics may be retained for audit obligations);
- Portability: ask us to export your account data in a structured format;
- Withdraw consent: you may stop using this service at any time; once your account is deactivated, we will follow the deletion path above.
For EU Users (GDPR), California Users (CCPA), and Mainland China Users (PIPL)
If you are located in a jurisdiction governed by GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), or China's PIPL (Personal Information Protection Law), the rights above apply equivalently under the relevant law. To exercise them, please email us at the address in Section 10.
Our target response time for reasonable requests is within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
This service is intended for users 18 years of age or older. Minors must use the service with the consent and supervision of a guardian, and the guardian must accept these Terms on the minor's behalf.
If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it immediately.
8. Cross-Border Data Transfer
Our servers are primarily located within the United States. If you are outside the U.S. (including mainland China and the EU), using this service means you understand and agree that your data will be transferred to the United States and protected under U.S. law together with this policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes — for example, adding new categories of collected data, adding new use purposes, or changing third-party processors — will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the site. The latest version is always at siliconroshi.ai/legal/privacy.
